Which LED do you have?
(click the photo)
What is the difference between the LED types? Quality?
One has a plastic case, the other doesn’t.
The LEDs are the same. Also the same heatsink.
I changed it, because the one with plastic case kept breaking during shipping. It needed lots of space in the parcel and made shipping even more expensive.
The advantage is that you have some more space now in the tent, because the ‘new’ one is slimmer.
The disadvantage is that the new LED only allows for 1 air filter.
To counteract that, you can use a 6-inch filter instead. That will have same filtering as 2 x 4-inch filters.
To use a 6-inch filter, you will need an adapter. I haven’t got that adapter yet, but I can send one to everyone who wants it as soon as I have it.
Hi tomato growers,
I have received the tomato tent without the black fragile housing. I wanted to make sure that there is no smell when growing so I added in the an extra 4 inch carbon filter. I also added in a small USB fan ($7AUD) to cool down the LED light and circulate air.
It’s super easy to attach an extra 4inch carbon filter and hang it.
I hope the photos helps
You are using the ‘sock’ on the outside filter.
The sock is there to stop the air-born dust, that is everywhere around us, from entering the filter.
You may want to use it on the inside-filter…to protect that filter.
I just assembled my TomaoTent, when I plug it to the wall, I just get a white screen. @Volker
Try pressing the reset button. Need a toothpick or something and it’s to the left of the light
Check all connections and make sure everything is secure?
I did check all connections, the fan runs for 1 second and stops, then white screen just turns on = no controls.
I will definitely try the reset button later, looking forward to having this up and running.
Thanks for the tip.
The reset button did not work, back to square one.
Pressing the reset button just starts the fan, holding it down keeps the fan going.
ok, there is something off.
I need to send you a replacement
i would like to give you early-access to the phone app.
Then you can use you TomatoTent as normal, but from your phone. So you could start a grow now, without waiting for the replacement controller.
Could you please connect your controller to the internet? It will work without display.
Then, when you receive the new controller, you can just swap them over.
I cannot connect my controller to the wifi, it keeps getting stucking in the blinking green light.
I made sure to check the wifi, but still no luck.
I can’t make it with the connection too. It just blinks blue and then the stand by mode goes on.
@ukendt Green light means it tries to connect. Password wrong?
I’m about to send you a new controller.
@Chew2zoo did you connect your phone to the WiFi network called Photon-xxx ?
@everyone, I’ll make a video on how to connect to WiFi and post it here.
I did but nothing hapend
Volker, the version that I received doesn’t have any instruction in what plug I have to connect my LED Lights and the Cooler, as you can see below:
I’m presuming that the short cable connection that comes from the controller is to connect my cooler and the long cable connection is to connect my LED lights, right? Thank you in advance.
You have the new version.
Filming the video right now, will be here in about 3 hrs.
